About the Company

Little House Trailer Company was founded in 2017 in the driveway of one of our owners when we gutted and restored an Airstream Bambi after it flooded. The company is employee-owned and operated. Today, we work in a 6,200 square foot shop in Sumner, WA about 35 miles south of Seattle and 13 miles north of Tacoma.

Our Values

This is what we believe about our company and our work:

  • We believe in full transparency in pricing. Our hourly shop rate is $135 per person hour. We invoice monthly from a detailed time sheet. We source parts for the projects we work on and invoice them at cost + 15%;

  • We believe that work should be fun (except for the WTH moments, which we should handle with grace). We work on vintage trailers. For real!

  • We believe in giving back. Our company has a social responsibility mission, Ask us about it. We love to tell our story

  • We believe in being and working with good people who are kind even under trying circumstances. We do our best to observe the No Asshole Rule. Please take this test if you want to know about the rule. If you fail it, please don’t call us. We don’t want to work with you.

  • We believe in craftsmanship and doing quality work. Just because someone will never see some areas of the vintage trailers we work on doesn’t mean we still don’t do quality work. Someday someone might restore our restoration. We want those future people to think, “Wow, those people did great work back in the day.”

  • We pay a living wage. We keep our shop clean and organized. We are a good place to work and good people to work with.

  • While we work on vintage trailers, our product is the company. We are building a great and enduring company.
